The Lake County Craft Beer Fest did not get enough sign ups for a club table but others signed up as individual vendors so the club will still have representation. The June Mundelein Line Craft Beer festival requires individual sign-ups.
A Zoigel brew is planned for later in March. A communal brewing event with another club is being discussed, potentially involving 40 gallons.
Upcoming events include a foraging trip with Scratch Brewing and a trip to Gold Finger Brewing.
A mash temperature experiment was our educational component of the meeting and revealed higher efficiency and attenuation at 146°F compared to 158°F. Future experiments include hops aroma standards and terpenes.
