Kings & Convicts Collab for Charity

While not a BJCP sanctioned competition, we’re collaborating with Kings & Convicts on a fun competition for charity for current members of North Urban Brewing Society.

Be sure to register by September 30, 2017 at https://comp.nubsbrew.com.

No Lager, sour/wild, or barrel/aged styles will be accepted.

Recipe is required to enter, and if selected as winner by Kings & Convicts, that recipe becomes property of Kings & Convicts in perpetuity.

You may enter the Production and/or Tap-Room contest, specify in notes when adding entry if to be considered for Production or Tap Room.

Entry fee is $7 and is limited to current members of North Urban Brewing Society.
You can join/renew NUBS membership at http://nubsbrew.com/join/

Portion of entry fee and revenue from beer sales will be donated to Benny’s World, a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation established to fund research to find a cure for pediatric brain stem tumors, specifically targeting Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).

PRODUCTION RELEASE

Recipe and registration to be completed by 9/30. Submitted recipes will be reviewed by Kings & Convicts for viability.
(i.e. Can it be scaled to their system, can the beer be completed for Jan 2018 brew and March 2018 release, and most importantly do they see any barriers to selling the whole batch. )
If Kings & Convicts determines recipe is not viable, you will be eliminated from the Production Release competition and no fee will be collected. You will not be allowed to resubmit for the Production contest due to limitations of time.

With this in mind, keep recipe simple and scale-able. If any concern about your recipe, you can/should enter the tap-room release due to fewer limitations.

TAP ROOM RELEASE

Be creative. Aside from the rule of no lager, sour/wild, or barrel/aged styles any recipe can be brewed and submitted. Winner will brew on Kings & Convicts pilot system for release in the tap-room only.
