- The 4th Annual Wort Rally will occur on Saturday, 28 Jan 2023.
- This year’s wort is an American brown ale
- The competition is planned for two months after the Rally, but no date is set in stone yet
- Prizes have been donated by Spike Brewing, Hophead Farms, and BSG
- To sign up, purchase your wort share from Perfect Brewing.
- The annual Holiday Party will be held on Saturday 21 Jan 2023 at District Brew Yards in Wheeling, from 12 to 3 PM.
- NUBS will provide light food
- This supersedes the regular January meeting
- Info and RSVP are forthcoming on the NUBS website; please RSVP so we know how much food to order
- Feel free to bring a significant other or a friend, but no kids
- DBY doesn’t let us bring home brew
- Work shirt preorders are up on the NUBS online shop, along with taster glasses, tulip glasses, hats, T-shirts, and hoodies
- Preorders will close in January
- NUBS merch will move to print-on-demand next year
- On Saturday 04 Feb 2023, PBS will host a Zoiglbrew at 10:00 AM
- Zoigl is a German tradition of communal brewing, wherein amateur brewers come together to a common brewery to make Zoiglbier, which they then serve from a Zoiglstube, which is historically the amateur brewer’s living room or kitchen

- Lake County Craft Beer Festival is on Saturday 25 Feb 2023
- NUBS has been invited to serve at the festival; Matt will put up a signup on the website
- We’re being offered four vendor wristbands, so up to four NUBS can volunteer to pour; we need members to donate at least 2-3 kegs to have enough beer to serve
- Please let Matt know by the end of December if you want to volunteer to pour
