Founded in 2011 by Chicago homebrewers Erick “Iggy” Ignaczak and David Williams, CHAOS Brew Club (Chicago Homebrew Alchemists of Sud) began as a solution for passionate brewers who lacked the space to brew at home. What started in a small Humboldt Park basement quickly evolved into one of Chicago’s most innovative and influential homebrew clubs — a place where brewers could share knowledge, equipment, and community. Over the years, CHAOS transformed a modest West Town workshop into a fully equipped community brewhouse with multiple brewing stations, a temperature-controlled fermentation room, and a true makerspace environment
